About Us

Viva Invictus (lovingly referred to as Viva) is a centre set-up by a group of ex-teachers whose passion for helping pupils achieve that little illusive progress that has been missing in their academic lives or to reach that potential that has been eluding them, has never been qualmed since having left the teaching service. Teachers whose passion resides in their every lesson, be it knowledge and skills or about character development.
We do not just aim to nurture and encourage the pupils to grow in knowledge and skills towards their academic lives but also to inculcate a sense of compassion towards others as well as building youth of GOOD character.
Through the responsibility and dedication of our teachers, and through the use of experiential strategies and pedagogical processes, we believe that each pupil should be given equal opportunity to reach the potential that he/she possesses.
We do not think ourselves experts, but we teach with learning hearts, believing that each pupil will gain knowledge and skills through us as we gain knowledge and skills through them.
Our Programs
English
Our English classes have been separated at the upper level classes in order to give more emphasis and concentration on both writing and GVC components. The lower levels classes combine both Composition Writing and GVC components as both are integral in scoring for English. We use different pedagogical strategies to assist pupils in achieving their best. Many of these strategies have been tried and tested in school and have seen positive results in pupils' academic progress. Our English teachers are up-to-date with the new 2014 syllabus for English and thus are able to formulate new strategies for tackling the changes as well as any formative assessment that may follow.
Mathematics
Using pedagogies such as heuristics, word problem strategies and others, our math department will not only engage pupils into wanting to learn more about math but also to excel in the subject.
Science
Our Science department uses a tried and tested strategy to encourage pupils to learn and understand science concepts; LAB! Through the use of these experiential learning strategies, we complement the school syllabus by exposing the pupils to experiments that are above and beyond those carried out in schools. Pupils will also be instructed in proper answering techniques for science so that they are able to tackle exam based questions during formative assessments in school.
